From the God's own country chasing The noise

I have graduated in 2009 April and it seems like yesterday. The day I finished college my only strong thought was 'I finally am free to learn on my own now'. This freedom seemed beautiful and it also seemed like a lot of pressure. I never believed in thinking with constraints in my head, so the world that was open to me seemed HUGE to take. I was pulled into every thing possible, the number of things that seemed WOW to me were a LOT. And as I tried each, it even seemed wonderful that I can do them with ease.

But, the question of what I want to do for a living remained (remains) still a mystery to me. The ever haunting question for anyone who is of my age.

To be able to think without boundaries is also something I am proud of. What I mean is, when I sit to think about any life decisions, money or how/where dont come in my way. Something my brother (K) pulls his hair off most of the times for.

But I have a good reason for being like this, money has not been difficult for me ever in life. If not born with a silver spoon, I had a spoon in my mouth and my parents and uncle made sure that I am brought up as an urban fairy-tale-princess. I always had a five-star in my hand every time I even thought about it. As I grew up my uncle (KVJ.. too many Ks in my life... Hmm) made me see the right place to be given for the green papers and I am also very confident that the day I decide I want a certain amount of money I can make it. So.. for you K I am goin to remain like this.

So, no constraints of money and a free spirit I could afford to take time out to just think. A luxury I must say. Seeing how many people can actually do that.

The more I contemplated on what I wanted to do or say what attracted me, it was building with the least possible amount of materials and the best use of any material that is used. This simply means that any material say brick, sand, steel or concrete have to be understood at a level that they can be tested to their full strength to be able to play them around. That is put them to their best use.

"What is the use of a finely crafted wall if it just gets lost in between the layers of cement that are hidden under paint which peels off and it looks bad anyway..?"

Combine this with a social responsibility of ever looming global warming the idea of being an Architect only seemed worth it, doing something like this. This is the noise.

The chase now seems scary, very uncertain, and lonely.

So here I am in the God's own country right now with a C/O address as the nearest bus stand (bathuku bus stand ayindi.. literally) but just one more 10-feet bamboo pile foundation I see and its all forgotten.
